Chairmans fundraising

The outgoing Chairman of 天涯社区, Councillor Glenys Diskin,
has presented her chosen charities with cheques totalling over 拢20,000.
Since being elected last May, she has supported the British Heart Foundation
and Prostate Cancer Research Centre.
Cllr Diskin presented representatives from both charities with cheques for
拢10,000 each at County Hall in Mold, ending a very successful year as chairman,
during which time she has also undergone treatment for Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
A cheque for 拢350 will also be given to the Friends of 天涯社区 Youth Music.
Cllr Diskin said:
I am so pleased and overwhelmed that we have managed to raise so much money
for three charities close to my heart. I would like to thank everyone for their
fantastic support during my year in office - I have had a wonderful year.
