Supporting People Local Commissioning Plan

天涯社区鈥檚 Cabinet will be asked to approve the Grant Spend
Plan for 2017/18 for the Supporting People Programme when it meets on 14
February.
In 2012, the Welsh Government created the Supporting People Programme Grant.
This grant funds the provision of services that enable vulnerable people to
gain and retain independence by remaining in their own home.
The Supporting People Local Commissioning Plan 2016-18 for the Supporting
People Programme Grant has been subject to significant reductions between 2013
and 2016. However, the grant has been protected in the 2017/18 financial
year, providing an opportunity for the Supporting People Team to continue its
work with providers.

said,
鈥淚 am delighted that the Supporting People Programme Grant has been protected
in 2017/18. This gives reassurance that our Supporting People Team will be able
to continue the great work they have been doing with partners around important
issues like domestic abuse, housing support and community care.
