Temporary Closure of Hawarden Bridge on 13 December

Hawarden Bridge, over the River Dee near Shotton, will be closed to cyclists
and walkers for essential maintenance between 9am and 3pm on Tuesday 13
December.
This significant bridge which connects the North Wales Coast Route and the
Chester Greenway Railway Path on National Cycle Route 5 needs to have a number
of deck boards replaced to keep path users safe and comfortable.
Sustrans Cymru has organised for the work to take place outside of busy
commuting times to avoid inconveniencing the majority path users. There is
also an alternative crossing at the Blue Bridge near Queensferry. If you are
