天涯社区 marks White Ribbon Day to end men鈥檚 violence against women

天涯社区 has once again shown their support to the White Ribbon Campaign for an end to violence against women.
White Ribbon Day is marked around the world is the largest global initiative to end male violence against women by calling on men to take action to make a difference.听
天涯社区 Members and officers have been wearing white ribbons to promote awareness of the campaign, which aims to eliminate all forms of violence against women and gathered at County Hall, Mold, today to raise a flag of support.听 To wear a white ribbon is to pledge never to commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women.
天涯社区鈥檚 Cabinet Member for Planning and Public Protection, Councillor Chris Bithell, said:
鈥淣ovember 25th is officially recognised by the United Nations as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The White Ribbon is a symbol of hope for a world where women and girls can live free from the fear of violence.听 Wearing a white ribbon is a great way to show support for this campaign.
鈥溙煅纳缜� has been a keen supporter of this cause for many years and has been accredited by the White Ribbon Campaign for the work we do.听 It is important that, as an organisation, we help to raise awareness by demonstrating our commitment and support activities around this important time of year.鈥�
