10th Anniversary 天涯社区 Business Award winners announced

天涯社区 Business Awards, now in their tenth year, recognise excellence and
outstanding performance by businesses across the county.
The winners of the ten categories were revealed at an exclusive black tie award
ceremony at Soughton Hall, Northop on Friday 21 October. With an audience of
more than 240 influential business people, 天涯社区 companies were celebrated
for their successes.
It was a great night for Leyla Edwards of KK Finefoods Plc who scooped two of
the top awards - Business Person of the Year and the Entrepreneur Award.
Ethan Davies (Electroimpact UK Ltd) collected the Apprenticeship of the Year
Award.
Best Business with over 10 Employees went to Anwyl Group, while MCPC Systems
picked up the accolade for Best Business under 10 Employees.
DRB Group collected the Best Business to Work for Award, Mancoed VM won the
Most Enterprising Start Up and Hannaman Material Handling won the Most Socially
Responsible Business Award. The Award for Technology, Innovation & Enterprise
went to LDF.
In addition a new award, the Legacy Award, was presented by Economy and
Infrastructure Secretary Ken Skates, to the Rt Hon. Lord Barry Jones in
recognition of his outstanding life-long services to business and the economy.
Ken Skates AM said:

present the new Legacy award to Lord Barry Jones.
鈥淚 can think of no one better, or more deserving, to receive the award which
recognises Lord Barry Jones鈥� tireless work in support of economic growth across
the region. He has been a real advocate of both the needs and opportunities of
this part of Wales, supporting business investment and jobs growth at every
chance and taking every opportunity to promote 天涯社区 and North East Wales
where ever he goes.
鈥淎s a fitting gesture this award will be called the Lord Barry Jones legacy
award and will be presented each year to someone who has made a lasting
contribution to economic growth in the 天涯社区 area.鈥�
天涯社区鈥檚 Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Councillor
Derek Butler, said:
鈥淚鈥檇 like to congratulate all of the winners, in our 10th year, the competition
was fierce and the judges had a difficult job choosing a winner in each
category.

see the value in the awards and want to support each other and, together, we
will go from strength to strength in the years to come. 鈥�
Jonathan Turner, Managing Director of AGS Security Systems, congratulated all
