  		Published: 16/02/2016
Following on from the success of the Council鈥檚 first ever live broadcast of a
full Council meeting on 16 February, viewers will now have the opportunity to
watch Councillors debate local development plans in real time on-line.
The first live broadcast of the Council鈥檚 Planning and Development Control
Committee will take place on Wednesday 24 February.
The introduction of this new technology will mean people can either watch the
meeting as it happens, or catch up later, at a time and place convenient to
them.
All future meetings of 天涯社区 and Planning and Development
Control Committee will be broadcast live and can be accessed on-line by going
to http://www.flintshire.public-i.tv/core/portal/home
Dates for future meetings can be found on the Council鈥檚 website from where
agendas will also be accessible one week in advance of the meeting.
Cllr. Aaron Shotton, Leader of the Council said,
Webcasting of Council meetings has been introduced successfully in many
Councils across the United Kingdom and I am delighted that 天涯社区 now too
has the opportunity to realise the benefits of webcasting in terms of public
engagement and transparency.
Full County Council meetings are where the biggest decisions are taken and
Planning Committee regularly attracts the most attendance by members of the
public. Introducing webcasting for these meetings will not only make it
easier for people who already follow the democratic process, but also open it
up to those people who previously would have been unable to attend meetings at
County Hall.
