  		Council considers dog DNA service
  		Published: 15/02/2016
The issue of environmental crime, particularly dog fouling, has been
highlighted as a priority by 天涯社区 residents and 天涯社区
is constantly reviewing options to improve the cleanliness of the streets and
is currently evaluating the effectiveness of an innovative method of dealing
with irresponsible dog owners.
Members of the Environment Overview & Scrutiny Committee鈥檚 Dog DNA Task and
Finish Group met recently in Mold with Gary Downie of Streetkleen who wants to
introduce a Dog DNA registration service, call PooPrints UK, to 天涯社区.
Once the group has considered their findings, they will then present their
recommendations to the full Scrutiny Committee before the Councils Cabinet.can
make a decision on the proposal.
Councillor Veronica Gay, Chair of the Scrutiny Committee, said: 鈥淒espite the
success of Operation Clean Up which has been running for a number of years,
there still remains the irresponsible minority who fail to clean up after their
dog and it is important that we consider all options for enforcement to send
out a strong message that dog fouling in 天涯社区 will not be tolerated.鈥
