Biodiversity Duty Delivery Plan

Biodiversity continues to be lost as a direct result of human impacts, through habitat loss and degradation, over exploitation, pollution, climate change and invasive non-native species.听
The Council鈥檚 first Biodiversity Duty Delivery Plan (2016-2019) was produced in response to the enhanced biodiversity and resilience of ecosystems duty of the Welsh Government鈥檚 Environment (Wales) Act 2016.
天涯社区鈥榮 Chief Officer for Planning, Environment and Economy, Andrew Farrow, said:
"'Supporting Nature in 天涯社区' is the Council鈥檚 second Biodiversity Duty Plan and covers the period from 2020-2023. This updated plan continues the previous good work in delivering biodiversity action and maintains progress to embed biodiversity as consideration across all departments.
鈥淭o meet the challenge of reversing the decline in biodiversity, it is essential that we act now and ensure as a local authority we meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.鈥
The Council鈥檚 Cabinet will consider the Biodiversity Duty Delivery Plan at its meeting on Tuesday, 15 June.
