Restrictions Business Fund Non Domestic Rates Grant 鈥� March 2021

Following the First Minister鈥檚 announcement on 12 March 2021, the Council is continuing to work with local businesses who have been impacted by the covid restrictions.
The latest round of grants are designed to provide additional support to businesses paying business rates and operating in the hospitality, tourism, leisure and non-essential retail sectors, including supply chains businesses.听
Qualifying听 businesses with a rateable value of up to 拢500,000 who received a Restrictions Fund Non Domestic Rate Grant from December to February will receive the latest round of grants automatically into their business bank accounts and do not need to reapply. Payment of the grants commenced on 15 March 2021.
Eligible businesses will receive the grant payments of:
鈥⑻� 听 听 听 听拢4,000 for qualifying businesses occupying premises with a rateable value of 拢12,000 or less
鈥⑻� 听 听 听 听拢5,000 for qualifying businesses occupying premises with a rateable value between 拢12,001 and 拢500,000
The scheme is also open to businesses within these sectors who have occupied a qualifying business premises continuously since 1st March 2021 or earlier and have not previously applied for a grant.
Businesses applying for the first time will need to complete an application form and self-declare whether they have experienced a 40% reduction in turnover for January and February 2021 compared to January and February 2020.
