Restrictions Business Fund
Published: 14/12/2020
Welsh Government has launched the Restrictions Business Fund this week to support businesses that have been directly impacted by the additional restrictions put in place on 4 December.
The first phase will be for automatic payments to be made to hospitality businesses that successfully applied for the firebreak lockdown grant in October/November without the need for a further grant application.
天涯社区 has been working through the latest Welsh Government guidance to ensure automatic grant payments are made to these priority groups before the Christmas break.
This week hospitality businesses occupying premises with a rateable value of up to 拢51,000, and who received the recent firebreak lockdown grant will receive an automatic payment of 拢3,000 or 拢5,000.听
天涯社区鈥檚 Leader, Councillor Ian Roberts, said:听
鈥淲e understand the impacts on businesses at this difficult time, especially for those who operate in the hospitality sector. The Council is playing its part in helping to administer the financial support package.
鈥淚t has been a significant undertaking but I am really pleased to announce that 154 hospitality businesses had automatically been awarded their grant payments by 11 December with awards totalling 拢550,000. Payments are likely to reach bank accounts by no later than Thursday 17 December.鈥
An application based grant scheme will 鈥榦pen up鈥 shortly for other hospitality, tourism and leisure businesses and their supply chains and retail businesses that can evidence听 greater than 40% reduction in turnover as a direct result of new restrictions.听
Further information will be available at www.flintshire.gov.uk/businessrates as other phases of the scheme go live. Businesses should check the website for further announcements.听
