Members and officers of 天涯社区, together with colleagues representing the emergency services gathered outside County Offices, Flint听this morning (Monday, 9 September) to mark 鈥楨mergency Services Day鈥� and the Chair of 天涯社区, Councillor Marion Bateman raised the 999 flag.

Councillor Bateman said;

鈥楾he United Kingdom鈥檚 Emergency Services day is an opportunity for everyone to remember the contribution which all of our emergency services: The Ambulance Service, the Coast Guard, the Fire and Rescue Service, the Police and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution makes to all our lives.
听
This is the second year that such an event has been held and the timing and date are significant: 9am on the ninth day of the ninth month.
