Changes to the Councils dog warden service
  		Published: 26/03/2015
天涯社区s Animal and Pest Control Out of Hours Service in
relation to stray dogs will cease from 1 April 2015.
From this date forward, any stray dog will still need to be reported on 0845
3733665, however the dog will no longer be collected by the Councils Dog
Warden.
The dog should either be retained by the finder until the next working day,
when it will be collected by the Dog Warden or, alternatively, the dog can be
delivered to the Councils reception point at North Clwyd Animal Rescue up
until 10pm in the evening, seven days per week.
Further changes to the Councils Stray Dog Service will see the introduction of
a 拢20 fee applied during the day for any stray dog returned to its owner.
Alternatively the dog could be taken to North Clwyd Animal Rescue for the owner
to collect, where it will incur the statutory fine and associated kennelling
charges, the minimum being one day.
Cllr Kevin Jones, Cabinet Member for Waste Strategy, Public Protection and
Leisure, said:
天涯社区 remains committed to providing a comprehensive Pest
Control Service and these changes ensure that it continues to be an efficient
and cost effective service valued by residents. The changes to the Out of Hours
service are being introduced as part of our challenge to find efficiencies in
the order of 拢18+m in the coming financial year, and the revisions were agreed
as part of the budget setting proposals. Full details of the service provided
by the County Council can be found on www.flintshire.gov.uk/streetscene or by
