Theatr Clwyd Business Plan

天涯社区鈥檚 Cabinet has approved the听Theatr听Clwyd听Business Plan 2019-2021.听
The Board of Governors of Theatr Clwyd produces an annual business plan which needs to be approved jointly by the Council and the Arts Council of Wales as the two principal funders.听 The Arts Council has been involved in the development of the Plan. The Theatre is highly rated by the Arts Council and continues to be one of its leading funded bodies.
天涯社区鈥檚 Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Councillor Derek Butler, said:
鈥淭he Board has endorsed the Business Plan for approval. The Plan covers a three year period and sets out a renewed mission and vision, the theatre making and programming operational core, and the strategic priorities for the theatre.鈥�
天涯社区鈥檚 Chief Executive, Colin Everett, said:
鈥淭his is an exciting and dynamic period in the theatre鈥檚 history 鈥� the future is looking bright with the theatre continuing as a vital and vibrant arts centre at the heart of our community.鈥�
The theatre has increased its community activities in innovative ways, including an immersive version of 鈥淭he Great Gatsby鈥� at the Dolphin Pub in Mold where the audience could dress up and dance, the first careers day for schools being held this week (16 January), drama workshops for all and live streaming of the Dick Whittington pantomime to the Deeside Community Hospital.听
The production of 鈥淭he Assassination of Katie Hopkins鈥� won Best Musical Production at the UK Theatre Awards and the theatre has been shortlisted for Regional Theatre of the Year in the 2019 Stage Awards to be announced this month.
