Green Flag Award continues to fly at Wepre Park, Greenfield Valley and Bailey Hill

天涯社区 is proud听to be flying Green Flags once again after being named in the 2026 Green Flag Awards.听

Wepre Park, Greenfield Valley and Bailey Hill have all been awarded the coveted Green Flag Award for 2026, recognising them as some of the very best green spaces in the UK.听

Keep Wales Tidy announced today听that a听record 330 parks and green spaces across Wales have reached the high standards required to gain a coveted Green Flag for 2026. This includes93 sites which achieved full Green Flag Award status and听237 who received a Green Flag Community Award. Fourteen of these sites also achieved the supplementary Green Heritage Site Accreditation, supported by听Cadw, for demonstrating a commitment听to preserving and promoting their unique history.听听听

The Green Flags were awarded to Wepre Park, Greenfield Valley and Bailey Hill in recognition of听being safe and secure, well-maintained and clean, having excellent听environmental management, and being a welcoming place.

Councillor Chris Dolphin, Cabinet member for Environment, Regeneration, Countryside and Tourism said: "We are absolutely delighted to have achieved Green Flag status at Wepre Park, Greenfield Valley, and Bailey Hill again this year. This achievement reflects the immense effort and pride taken by the whole team who maintain and improve these spaces for the public to enjoy."

Thanks to their hard work and commitment, each site has been officially recognised as a leading green space鈥攐pen, accessible, and sustainable. Especially Friends of Bailey Hill and Mold Town Council, Friends of Wepre Park and our valued park stakeholders, plus Greenfield Valley Trust and its supportive volunteers.

Wepre Park continues to be a beacon for biodiversity and family recreation.
Greenfield Valley offers a rich mix of industrial heritage and vibrant wildlife.
Bailey Hill, with its historical significance and scenic charm, remains a peaceful green haven in the heart of Mold.

The awards are recognised in more than 20 countries and reward the very best parks and green spaces, so visitors know wherever there is a Green Flag, they鈥檙e visiting an exceptional place with the highest standards.听听Bailey Hill.jpg
