Place Making Plans adopted for two 天涯社区 towns

Bold new plans that will shape the future of two 天涯社区 towns have been approved.
天涯社区鈥檚 cabinet has agreed to formally adopt Place Making Plans for Queensferry and Connah鈥檚 Quay.
The plans examine the challenges currently faced by the two towns and set out a long-term vision and priorities for each of them. Each plan will be accompanied by a comprehensive action plan reflecting available resources, which will identify key partners, funding sources and timescales.
Priorities set out in the documents include improving public green spaces and town centres, celebrating and building on the towns鈥� heritage and identities, and making them cleaner, more appealing areas to live, work and visit.
The adoption of the latest two Place Making Plans follows the approval of plans for Buckley, Holywell and Shotton last year. The final two plans, focussing on Mold and Flint, are at an advanced stage of development and are expected to be completed later this year.
Funding for the development of all seven plans has come from the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund and Welsh Government Transforming Towns programmes.
Place Making Plan activity is being led by the council鈥檚 Regeneration team in collaboration with a range of other council services and external partner organisations. The plans are needed to ensure Welsh Government investment can be made available to support town centre regeneration projects in the future.
