Bailey Hill 鈥� Tri-Partite Management Agreement and Project Update

天涯社区 is working in partnership with Mold Town Council (MTC) and the Friends of Bailey Hill Group (FoBH) and was successful in an application to the Heritage Lottery Fund earlier this year.聽
This exciting project is now ready to start and Cabinet members will be asked allow authority to enter into a grant agreement with the Heritage Lottery Fund for 拢963,700, so the project can get underway.聽 They will also be asked to agree to a legal agreement for the development and management of Bailey Hill with Mold Town Council and the Friends of Bailey Hill.
Bailey Hill is a significant project to improve the heritage environment of the Motte & Bailey Castle at Bailey Hill in Mold. This includes a redesigned entranceway, access improvements, a new play area, site-wide interpretation and a redeveloped Custodian鈥檚 Cottage to a multi-purpose community space.
Total cost of the project, including partnership funding and match funding is 拢1,301,970, the majority of which has been accounted for.聽 As some funding applications are still outstanding, all partners are confident that any shortfall will be achieved over the 3 year life of the project.

鈥淭his exciting grant funded project will see Bailey Hill restored and enhanced to make the most of its special setting as the birth place of Mold. 聽It is an area where people can聽enjoy the natural environment which is so important in town centres. Access to the area will be improved opening up the area to more people. The management agreement is a standard legal agreement between 天涯社区, Mold Town Council and the Friends of Bailey Hill.聽 天涯社区 Council will continue to own the site.鈥�
