Building work starts on new extra care housing scheme

Building work has started on a new 拢8.5m extra care housing scheme in Holywell.
Principal contractor Anwyl Construction have cleared the site and commenced works to build 天涯社区鈥檚 fourth extra care scheme, provided by developers Wales & West Housing in partnership with 天涯社区 Council.
This project, on the site formerly occupied by Ysgol Perth y Terfyn, will house a 55 unit apartment complex.
The four storey apartment building will have 43 one-bedroom and 12 two-bedroom apartments with a range of facilities and 24 hour on site care and support for older people with support needs.
Councillor Christine Jones, 天涯社区's Cabinet Member for Social Services said:
"This is another great step forward for our latest extra care scheme in 天涯社区. With the Council and Wales & West Housing Association and Anwyl Construction working in partnership, we are all looking forward to seeing this scheme come to fruition. The new facility in Holywell will provide excellent facilities to make a real difference to residents' lives.听 It鈥檚 another great opportunity to develop housing which enables older people to have a new choice, whilst maintaining their independence and wellbeing.鈥�
