Food Service Plan

天涯社区鈥檚 Cabinet will be asked to approve the Food Service
Plan 2018-19 when it meets on Tuesday, 17 July.
The plan has been produced by officers of the Food Safety and Standards Team
and it sets out how the service will be delivered in this financial year and
also reviews performance during the last financial year.
The Food Service Plan covers food safety (the enforcement of food safety and
food hygiene legislation in all food establishments in the county, food
standards (checking establishments and dealing with complaints) and feed
(visits to feed premises, providing information and dealing with complaints).
天涯社区鈥檚 Cabinet Member for Planning and Public Protection,
Councillor Chris Bithell, said:
鈥淏y approving this year鈥檚 Food Service Plan, the Cabinet will ensure that the
high level food safety and hygiene already established within the county will
continue. Our Food Safety and Standards team works extremely hard to ensure
that the residents of 天涯社区 can have confidence in a high level of hygiene
when it comes to food. I must add that the team has had some impressive
achievements over the past year including those listed below. On behalf of the
Cabinet, congratulations to you all on a job well done.鈥�
路 Achieving 100% of programmed Food Hygiene inspections across all risk bands.
路 Exceeding the target for the percentage of new food businesses we became
aware of within the year receiving an inspection for both Food Hygiene and Food
Standards.
路 Achieving 100% of programmed A 鈥� C risk band Food Standards inspections.
路 The percentage of premises with a Food Hygiene rating of 5 has increased from
74.5% to 79.0%, with 97.3% of businesses have a rating of 3 or higher compared
to 96.3% in the previous year.
路 Achieving 100% of Feed inspections and sampling.
