Headstone inspections

天涯社区 Bereavement Services staff will be undertaking safety
inspections of headstones within the following cemeteries during July:
路 Hawarden No1
路 Hawarden No2
路 Greenfield No 2
路 Treuddyn
路 Northop Road, Flint
This work is required to comply with Health and Safety regulations and the
Ministry of Justice Guidance on Memorial Safety. The inspections are being
carried out by officers who will make sure all work is carried out
professionally and with due respect. Every headstone will be carefully
examined and tested for stability to ensure that it is not in danger of
toppling over and causing injury to visitors or employees working in the
cemetery. Headstones that fail the test and are deemed to be unsafe will be
identified accordingly, temporarily supported or laid flat.
