On Friday, Saturday and Sunday 18, 19 and 20 November, 天涯社区 will be raising the Transgender flag outside County Hall, Mold to show support for Transgender Day of Remembrance.
The Transgender Day of Remembrance, held annually on 20 November, was started in 1999, when it became clear that trans people were being murdered in particularly large numbers 鈥 a truly shocking fact.听 20 November remembers all trans people who have lost their lives to this transphobic violence and helps to raise awareness of this terrible statistic.
天涯社区鈥檚 Cabinet Member for Governance and Corporate Services and Equality Champion, Councillor Billy Mullin, said:
鈥淲e are participating in this day to demonstrate our commitment to promoting equality, eliminating discrimination and hate crime and making 天涯社区 a safe place for everyone.鈥
