Deeside Enterprise Zone success

天涯社区 has welcomed the latest Welsh Government figures
highlighting achievements at the Deeside Enterprise Zone.
Since 2012, 拢29m has been spent in creating or safeguarding over 6,000 jobs in
the area and more than 243 businesses have benefitted from Welsh Government
support.
天涯社区 Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Councillor
Derek Butler, said:
鈥淭his is excellent news for 天涯社区 and Deeside in particular. Securing and
safeguarding these local jobs is down to the strength of partnership working
between 天涯社区, Welsh Government and the Deeside Enterprise
Zone Advisory Board 鈥� a tremendous achievement.鈥�
天涯社区鈥檚 Chief Executive and member of the Advisory Board,
Colin Everett, said:
鈥淭he proportion of business enquiries converting into investment continues to
remain high, showing that 天涯社区 is a great place to do business. In
addition, direct financial assistance to businesses in Deeside of over 拢300,000
has been provided to support workforce development needs.鈥�
The Enterprise Zone offers specific incentives to attract new business to Wales
using a tailor-made Welsh solution with the aim of improving the Welsh economy
and creating jobs and opportunities. The Deeside Enterprise Zone focuses on
the advanced manufacturing and materials sector and has welcomed new investment
from across the UK, Ireland, USA and Japan and seen expansion of existing
businesses including Triumph Group, DRB Engineering, Kriega, Hannerman and
James Fisher.
