The purpose of the consultation:
- To outline the challenges facing the Council in balancing its budget for 2025/26.
- To seek the views about what’s important to residents along with their thoughts on strategies to bridge the budget gap, not only by ÌìÑÄÉçÇø but by other Council’s across the UK.
- To support members in their consideration of options to help balance the books.
When people could have their say:
The consultation opened on 15th October 2024 and closed on 24 November 2024.
How people could have their say:
People could have their say by completing a short on-line questionnaire.
Residents who were unable to complete the survey online were signposted to any of the five ÌìÑÄÉçÇø Connects Centres where support was available.
Number of people taking part:
3480 people took part. Not everyone who started went on to complete all questions.
All responses received up to abandonment are included in this summary report.
What people told us:
A summary report of the feedback received has been produced.
What we did with your feedback:
The feedback received helped inform decisions around setting the Councils budget for 2025/26 and will continue to assist considerations leading up to setting the budget for 2026/27.
